Scarborough Arthritis & Fybromyalgia Support Group
SCARF the Arthritis and Fybromyalgia Support group was inaugurated in December 1999, back then we met at the Alexander Bowls Centre. After moving venues several times we now meet regularly in the Discussion Room in the Post Grad Centre within the Scarborough Hospital Grounds, see map.
The group is run by, and for, people with Arthritis and Fybromyalgia. We meet the first Wednesday of the Month at 7pm, finishing approximately at 9pm. We have topical speakers and one or two outings, which tend to be in the afternoon for those that, find it difficult to get out in the evenings. At the meetings we have the speaker, and then we have refreshments giving people time to talk to other members and committee members.
We charge £1.50 for the subs per person and £2.00 for couples. Parking is free and we also hold a raffle for funds. Transport is not provided.
